Junior to Senior Seminar
Junior to Senior Seminar
By Sam Daly at Northfield Kennels
Saturday, April 24, 2010 - Starting at 9 AM

The transition from the Junior level to the Senior level is a big step up in training. At the Senior level your dog has to be steady off lead, the dog needs to be able to walk to the line at a hunt test off lead and under control, the dog needs to sit and watch a double mark (which typically includes a live flyer) and then wait to be released, the dog needs to do a blind retrieve and demonstrate handling skills, and the dog needs to sit and honor marks thrown for another dog. There are many elements to add to your training routine.

At this seminar, Sam Daly will go through the training process step by step. Sam will demonstrate methods and drills to help in your training. This seminar is intended to be a hands-on training seminar for you and your dog; but if you prefer to attend without your dog, you will find a lot of good information to add to your training routine.

Sam Daly is the Owner / Operator of Northfield Kennels Northfield Kennel Directions in Northfield, MN. Sam started working as a pro trainer nearly 20 years ago with Tom Dokken, and then opened his own training kennel in 1994. Sam enjoys both hunt tests and field trials and trains dogs for both games.
